Hi !! I sent a letter and SASE to the stage manager of the production. I received a cast signed playbill in my SASE.

has anyone received a success from stanley tucci (director) yet? i didn't see his signature on the playbill i received and haven't received a response from the request i sent to him directly.

Did you request Tucci to sign it?
Anyway Tucci is not that "fan friendly" and is a rare autograph to get. You pretty much have to be in his face for him to sign. I was fortunate to get him to sign for me recently at the Santa Barbara Film Festival. Security is a joke so I was able to approach him directly. I had only two items for him but he insisted on only signing one. I was bummed but happy that I at least got the one.
The only other reason that I can think of why he didn't sign it, is that once the play's run starts the director has no reason to attend the play anymore. The directors job is to oversee the early stages of the play, the rehersal and opening night.
Once the play starts it's run there is no reason for Tucci to be there. His job is done.
