Paul McCartney failure

I sent a letter, photo, and sase to Paul at jobing.com arena last week for his sunday night show. I received the unsigned photo back with a mass-produced letter saying that Paul receives too many of these requests and is too busy so he will not be signing anything on this tour or any others. I saw a couple sporadic "successes" from his last few concerts so I thought there was hope - but either too many people must have thought the same as me, or they were more likely bogus. He is infamously impossible to get to sign VV, TTM, and even in person.
The one good thing is that it said "any others" so he must be planning to continue touring! Everytime he starts a tour, rumors start that it will be his last.
Don't waste your postage.

He flies private and if you can find the airfield, he stops 9 out of 10 times to sign one a piece for whomever is there. I got him once (only need one) this way. I know of dealers that have gotten 8-10 within a 3-4 day period.

Ugh, really? I wrote him last tour, and got a letter that said he gets a lot of requests and can't sign all of them, or something to that effect. Kind of gave you hope. Slim, but there just the same. Now he can't sign ANYTHING? Ever again? Jeez. I wrote him at the Hollywood Bowl. I guess I'll just await the return of my photo, then. Oh, well. At least they send it back to you and don't just toss it. And, like you said, it sounds like he isn't done touring, which is good.

sorry to hear your item wasnt signed, but I can assure you that all the summer successes posted via venue are real.
He signed my item in Boston, and one for someone in New York. It seems like he only signed one item ttm on each stop of the tour.
Someone else got a response from his Boston shows, but it was a standard rejection letter.
Better luck next time!

How do you find out which airfield he'll be flying out of?

I got a rejection letter too, but mine is a little more hopeful. It said:
"As you may appreciate, Paul receives numerous requests and tries to fulfill as many as possible in the limited time available at each concert however on this occasion it has not been possible to meet your own and as the tour is moving on to the next city, we are returning your property."
It gives me hope that he still signs, and I fully intend to try again.
Does anyone know some other tour dates for him? I tried looking on Ticketmaster and couldn't find anything.

Phew! That give me a bit of hope for the future.
I still haven't gotten mine back from the Hollywood Bowl yet...

My rejection letter was from the Hollywood Bowl
I am just planning on sending to as many tourdates as I can find and maybe, just maybe, mine will be one of the very few that he signs. (A girl can dream, anyway...)
