“By Grabthar’s Hammer!!!” It finally came! Received a fantastic response from Alan Rickman today!! Some of you probably remember the rejection notice I got from his assistant back in early January stating that Alan had left the country and would not be back for a couple months.

Well, it turns out he was coming to the U.S. to do a show at the BAM Harvey theatre in New York! A friend of mine gave me the address for the theatre and at first I debated on whether to send out or just wait till Alan was back in the U.K. and resend to his agency. But then I figured “what the heck, I’ll send and cross my fingers”. lol.

I sent five 4x6 photos and made sure not to include any Harry potter items as Alan has a thing against signing those and never mentioned those films in my letter as well. In return Alan graciously personalized and signed two of the photos (Galaxy Guest & Sense and Sensibility) in rather bold sharpie but returned the other three photos unsigned which is perfectly okay by me!! Thanks Alan!!

Not trying to be rude but do you really need to send five items?? why do you need FIVE items signed by him?


if i was him i wouldn't of signed any of them. you also clog it up so less people get a response

I sent five as I was trying to get a couple for a friend of mine who wanted Alan Rickman as well and we have the same name. But then my friend ended up getting a reply from him a little while back.

I also like getting multiple items signed on the off chance that one may smear or get ruined on the way back and by having the extra's their's no need to resend.

Hey Great Success Ryan!!!, im pretty positive i sent the same day as you sooo i really hope i get a reply today, u should get that galaxy quest pic signed by Tim Allen, hes a really good signer TTM, now only if Sigourney Weaver signed TTM, Brinksta, not tryin 2 b rude, but u should really mind ur own buissness, if he wants 2 send 5 items let him, its his buissness not urs, i sent Mark Wahlberg 4 items, hasnt ruined anybodys chances of gettin him back has it. once again, Nice success Ryan, i still think the best scene in GQ is when they r signing autos, & they keep saying the line so he gets pissed, great movie

Thanks so much for the very nice comment dude!! I already have Tim Allen on a Santa Clause 3 photo, but maybe if I meet him in-person I will!! Plus I hate sending out photos already signed for fear of them not coming back or getting lost. :neutral:

I do love that scene in GQ too where their signing photos, Alan Rickman played that part perfectly and it's scary how he's that way now with HP items. For a joke I even put that quote in my letter.

I don't know where Alan is actually but I hope my letter come back soon signed and personalized...
Because this is my first letter to famous person i do not know how long I have to waiting for ;p
