Robin Williams Secretarial Failure. :P Good items ruined :P

Received a very disappointing “Success†from Robin Williams.
It’s been widely known that he uses a secretary to sign photos sent to him via his regular agency address in CA. But earlier this year it was announced that he’d be appearing on Broadway and many of us got all excited as Broadway is a good place to write for tough Celebs who don’t sign often.
So I found some really nice pics and made him some custom items which took me a while to make and a heartfelt letter. For a while there were no replies coming in from him and we were worried he wouldn’t be answering requests. Then we got all excited again when he started sending back authentically signed items during the beginning of the play.
That’s when it turned sour. All of a sudden the photos fans were sending to him were being postmarked as coming from CA then back to NY then onto its final destination.
And we came to the conclusion he is having all his Fanmail redirected to his secretary in CA, having him/her sign them and send them back to NY and then sent out to fans.
Today I got mine back and sure enough, their all secretarial.
Although mine’s not been postmarked from CA then to NY, but simply from NY. But I can tell their not authentic as they don’t match up anywhere close to his normal handwriting. Really disappointed as I spent good money on those photos and time making the custom cards and their now ruined with fakes.
Also got a typed letter that’s clearly outdated as it talks about films of his coming out in 2009.
I feel that if he couldn’t take time to sign the items himself, his secretary should have just sent them back unsigned along with a better note saying “Due to the overwhelming replies, Robin is unable to grant your request; therefore, we regret that we have to send your items back unsigned.†Simple as that. No need to tricks fans into thinking their getting something real when their not.
I’m a fan of Robin, not his assistants or secretaries.
