First Midwest Bank Amphitheatre MEGA failure

It's been about a month, so I'm going to consider this an awful failure and a big waste of money.

On 9/13/11 I sent requests (each containing LOR, pics and SASE) to Avenged Sevenfold, Three Days Grace, Art of Dying, and Bullet For My Valentine to the First Midwest Bank Amphitheatre for a show they all played there on 9/18/11. I only live about an hour from the venue, so it probably only took a day or 2 for the letters to get there so I have no concerns that the letters simply arrived to late. All are known signers (although a7x is hard to get), and I've seen other success's in a matter of days from some of these bands on this current tour they are all on. Older posts on this website claimed this venue passed on fanmail, but that doesn't appear to be the case now. I've also talked to others who sent requests to this venue for the same concert and no one has heard anything back yet. So as far as I'm concered, this venue must no longer passes on fanmail. If anyone plans on sending VV to someone via this place, don't bother.

Here's the address:

First Midwest Bank Amphitheatre
19100 South Ridgeland Avenue
Tinley Park, IL 60477

Sorry to hear about this...I know its kind of frustrating. However, don't lose all hope. I live in Indianapolis and I sent a via venue request to Trey Songz and Monica when they performed here last year (Monica opened for Trey.) Just like you, I sent a LOR, a couple of 8x10 photos, and a SASE. I sent to Trey and Monica separately. It took about 3 weeks to get a response from Trey...and when I got the response it was not the pics I sent him. It took Monica almost 2 months to respond.

I know I've contacted a venue before asking if they pass on fan mail and I've received a response that, as a general rule, the venue pass along fanmail...but some certain artists do not accept fan mail.

Anyway, better luck next time!

YES! That is exactly what I was hoping to hear!

Good to know, thanks much!
