In December 2011 I wrote to the singer Shakin Stevens at one of the UK venues he was touring, enclosing a LOR SASE , 2 photos and a record single sleeve. TODAY i received them all back unsigned with a request to send money to join his fanclub - sorry Shaky but I will have to close the 'Green Door' on that one - thought he wouldnt be that busy, but never thought he would just return them!
