Hey everyone..

Last monday I found out that the play Uncle Vanya made its way to NYC for a very limited time. It started the wk before, and ended this past saturday (7/30), so its no longer valid. It stars Cate Blanchett and Hugo Weaving. So I took a chance ( Live in NJ) and sent a request to both of them, and today I got Hugo Weaving back.

I have sent to Cate at least 5-6 times now, including when this play was in DC, and never got her back when others did everytime. I think she secretly hates me lol, so hopefully I get hers back too.

Got 2 8x10s today from Hugo, aswell.Looks like Lincoln center is a "Go".Also got Alan Cumming a week ago for his play there at another thaetre.
Admin: Please add Rose Theatre and City Center to "Pass on " list in NYC.

Well done..i tried Hugh here in Sydney a couple of months ago with no luck and Cate as well late last year in Sydney with nothing returned either
It seems they like returning from countries other than Australia for some rerason.As ive seen a few successes from abroad for both of them.

Your replies give me hope that my reply is in the mail. I had written to him via his play in Washington DC last year. But, the return envelope got stuck closed. So he could return my items. He did write on the return envelope what happened and signed the back of the envelope.

Wow, congrats! I also sent to Hugo (and Cate and Richard Roxburgh and Anthony Phelan) via "Uncle Vanya", so hopefully I hear back, too! Although I seem to have the sort of luck where everybody hears back via a certain venue except me... like beatlesmasher, I wrote to Alan Cumming via "Macbeth" but haven't heard back from him yet. Oh, well, fingers crossed everything works out! And congrats again... he's such a fantastic actor!
