Shane MacGowan success

Today I got my favorite success yet. I know I've said that before but this guy is my hero. It's Shane Macgowan from The Pogues. He's their infamous lead singer. His signature is NOT an easy one to get because he's sort of notorious for being drunk all the time. I've looked on ebay and all over the place. I bought a signature of his from his sister last year, but have always wanted a personalized one. I wrote to via venue at the Nokia Theatre, NYC during the Pogues recent US tour. I can't believe he actually signed it. I sent a CD cover and an SASE and here it is:

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think "legless" is slang for drunk in Ireland...If you ever read anything about Shane, trust me, it makes sense!

Judging by the shakey handwriting, it looks as though he was pretty legless when he signed that :D

Nice success - I don't mind a bit of Pogues occasionally....

I think it's cool that it IS all shaky and stuff...if Shane weren't drunk...he just wouldn't be Shane...I can't tell you all how happy I am about this one...this and Ringo are definately my two prized posessions....
