Benedict Cumberbatch VV Failure

On June 24, 2013: I sent two letters (one from me and my best friend), four 4x6 photos (one for myself, a sister, and two friends), and a SASE to the venue of

"The Hobbit" (NO LONGER VALID!)

Today (July 25, 2013): I received all my photos back (my letters were not returned) with a note from an employee from the casting department of "The Hobbit", in my SASE.

I'm really not surprised he wasn't able to sign my photos. I thought he wasn't going to be there at first, until I was notified that he was and that Sir Peter Jackson posted a pic of him with Martin Freeman on the set during pick-ups. Also, this is not as disappointing as my Martin Freeman failure since Martin was there for 2 months and Benedict was there for 2 days. I will just keep trying to get Benedict's. He is my MOST WANTED. This is my 3rd attempt (2nd for myself only) to get his autograph.
I suppose the employee threw away my letters?

I still have a Richard Armitage letter floating around the Hobbit set. Maybe I'll actually get it back. At this point though I doubt it.

Well, there are only failures from Martin Freeman, Benedict and RTS from Sylvester and Orlando. Other than that, there have been many VV successes from the rest of the cast.

If you haven't seen my other posts, I've got Graham McTavish (Dwalin), Aidan Turner (Kili), Stephen Hunter (Bombur), John Callen (Oin), Adam Brown (Ori), Dean O'Gorman (Fili), Evangeline Lilly (Tauriel), Jed Brophy (Nori), Mark Hadlow (Dori) and Ken Stott (Balin) all via "The Hobbit".
I'm still waiting for Richard Armitage as well (there were three so far from other people), and James Nesbitt (Bofur), William Kircher (Bifur), Peter Hambleton (Gloin) and Lee Pace (Thranduil).
There were also some successes from Sir Ian McKellen and Mikael Persbrandt (Beorn).

Just keep tryin', girl! Persistence will pay off. Hope your next effort nets a win! And maybe the letters were gone because they gave them to him...?

I'm so sorry, but don't give up!! Someday you'll get a reply from him! I tried him three times with no success, but on my fourth I finally got a reply from him.

I'm not having any success from that set.
I got my Martin Freeman stuff back despite the fact I sent it in May, so I'm guessing all the people who sent it early were in the bottom of the stack.

I'm still waiting to hear from Aidan Turner and Richard Armitage but I'm having a feeling I'm not going to hear from them

He was there. You didn't read the note, did you? He was there for TWO DAYS!!! Before I mailed it to NZ, I contacted Stone Street Studios if he was going to be there, then they told me to email 3 Foot 7 Ltd which is Sir Peter Jackson's casting department and they told me to go ahead and send it!

Also, he flew from NZ to Japan (for "Star Trek Into Darkness" promotions) on July 15.

He just didn't have time to sign my photos, but I guess he was given the letters.

You are very persistent! I remember seeing your success. I hope you'll get yours from Aidan and Richard! I got mine from Aidan and some people already got theirs from Richard.
