Not that this matters so much anymore since they just finished filming their reshoots, but I figured this might at least let anyone else who sent to Andy Serkis know that he wasn't there. I knew they weren't going to be doing any Gollum scenes, but he's done some directing work for Peter Jackson when they were filming the first time around and I thought he might be doing some of the same this summer. No such luck. There have been some successes from his agency in the UK, so I'll just take the photo and letter from this one and send it over there. Fingers crossed!

Actually, I knew he wasn't going to be there even if he was the 2nd unit director because they asked him in an interview sometime this spring if he was going to be doing any 2nd unit stuff in NZ and he said that he wasn't. And PJ said that they were only doing main unit filming.
Plus, he has been doing "Dawn of the Planet of the Apes" which just finished this month.

They actually were doing 2nd unit filming in NZ in the past few months... for PJ's liveblog that he did on Facebook the last day of filming he talked about Christian Rivers, who's directing the splinter unit that Andy Serkis is usually in charge of. I don't know if they were using the 2nd unit for all of the past few months, but it definitely was in use.
That said, I did try to keep up with all of the interviews and everything to see who was there and when but it's so hard to keep track of everything. I figured it was better to send a letter and get an RTS than miss him. Of course, now I know that he was doing "Planet of the Apes"... oh, well. There's always be opportunities in the future.

I sent to him via planet of the apes and havent heard anything yet. But i saw 2 or 3 successes months ago... I think his agency is worth a try too
