Michele McGrath - Irish Model - Pioneering Success!

Michele McGrath is a highly popular Irish model, socialite and stage star. She has emerged as one of Ireland's top models in the last two years. She recently made her acting debut in December 2013, playing the role of Jill in a pantomime based around Jack and The Beanstalk.

Sent 1 LOR, SASE, Christmas Card and photo to Ms. McGrath via the Tivoli Theatre, where she was performing at the time, on 23/12/2013. On 24/01/2014, I received my photo signed and dedicated.

This reply was a pioneering success, as it was at the time part of a ground-breaking experiment into how via venue addresses can be sent. The letter I sent was sent just 36 hours before the first rehearsal was to commence. It was received during a later rehearsal, therefore it is known as a DREVVA (During REhearsal Via Venue Attempt), one of the four different categories of Via Venue attempt.

In addition, I edited the photo I sent to Ms. McGrath, using an editing technique known as "white-washing", where images, logos etc. on a white background are erased using the eraser operation and using the white colour option on Microsoft Paint. The original featured the Vodafone logo and two other logos on a wall that Ms. McGrath was standing behind. The finished result saw the logos removed to create a white, almost marble-like wall.
