George Lucas Success!!

Ok, so first off I attended the Tribeca Film Festival In NYC for a coversation with George Lucas moderated by Stephen Colbert. After the event a large group formed by the side entrance where Mr. Lucas's security was there saying that he would be leaving soon and he may or may not sign, so I attempted to get my picture signed. He signed a bunch but then was hurried off to his car and I was not one of the lucky ones. So After looking up about the other events. I found an article stating that Mr. Lucas was spotted coming out of his hotel a few days early in NYC. When I looked at the page it says that he was staying at the Mercer Hotel. So I took a shot and mailed a dvd booklet to the Mercer Hotel on 4/17/15 along with Stamps and an envelope and letter stating that I was the event and that I really enjoyed it. On 4/25/15 I received my booklet by signed by Mr. Lucas!! Could not believe it.. Absolutely awesome.. He seemed like a really nice guy and did sign a lot in person. There was just way to many people there.. So awesome!!! It looks like the autographs I found on the internet!

I'm not saying it is real but from my research I believe that it is very possible it is 100% authentic. It doesn't take much research to find examples of known authentic autographs of George Lucas and I emphasize the "S" at the end of autographs because there are at least 2 or 3 different styles of known authentic autographs. I have seen some that look very close to this one. It took no time at all for me to reach that totally non bias conclusion. So to me, the people who jump right out and say it's not authentic or even say it doesn't look right, totally sounds like an anterior motive like "jealousy" or "hating" because it looks very very close to known authentic signatures. And this paired with the story behind it leads to even more credibility that it is indeed authentic. Again, I cannot say for fact that it is authentic but in my opinion anyone who says it is not authentic or that it "doesn't look right" seems to have a very obvious anterior motive for saying so because I see no evidence that points this towards being not authentic.

Anyways, Congrats on your success I think you have something very special there and it sounds like you enjoyed your whole experience a lot!

I was one of the last people standing closer to where his car was.. by the time he got to me they were hurrying him to his car.n i only am thinking its real cause I have found some of autographs on the internet that look like mine and why would they even send anything back if he wasnt in NY. I would think they would just throw it if he had left for California. I should also say that the letter is postmarked from NY 10012 which is the zip code of the Mercer Hotel

Congrats on the success. I am not expert on his signature, but i also also jealous if it is real. i am a HUGE star wars fan, and would love to add his autograph to my SW wall of fame. enjoy it, cause it is rare indeed to get something like that.

A friend of mine got Lucas to sign 10 items for him when he was in Monte Carlo. Not an expert but definitely know when I see a Lucas IP autograph.

It could be his staff responding to your mail. Who knows for real? We can only speculate. But that does not make it more real.

It is true, that people shouting "fake" -comments should take their time to prove their point, because if a person makes a statement he should be prepared to give proof for that statement instead of giving all the responsability to the person he is giving the counter statement.
