I know you can send Fanmail to a play when they open but what about when they are in preview. Any help would be great thanks

You're never guaranteed anything back no matter where you send it. Some people never reply via venue, or any plays. Some people will just send back prints. Some people will only sign a handful of things before they get swamped and then are forced to stop. (Which is what happened with Emma Stone when she did Cabaret). Some people will reply to anything.

So in short, it depends on the person you're writing to, and what they do. I wrote to Saoirse Ronan via the Walter Kerr theatre when they were still in rehearsals, and i only got it back 3 months later (this week). I wrote to Jim Broadbent while his run of A Christmas Carol was still on and never heard back. So i would say just write it anyway. If they're going to reply they will, doesnt really seem to be a definitive answer

Just ignore the user above ( Morphindel) he is the forum troll. He just talks bull.

Yes you can send to them while they are in preview I for one think it's the best time to write to them as they will have more time to reply in rehearsals and they won't of been swamped with much fanmail that early so their will be more chance that you ge a reply from them. So the earlier you write the better I would say. Good luck. {up}
