Hi everyone

I wrote to Sir Ian McKellen via his play 'King Lear' while he was performing in Melbourne. I sent him a letter, 2 photos and SASE.

Today, I received both photos back signed and personalised in silver pen!! My SASE was not postmarked in any way.

I do apologise for the terrible photos as they aren't particularly clear (especially the first one). I've removed my name for privacy reasons, but if anyone wants clearer pictures of the photo or autograph, please do not hesitate to ask!

He signed both pics!? Wow! He only signed one of mine He didn't date mine either like he seems to on so many others he must have signed your's before he did mine, cause you can see on mine he started writing in a silver pen but it ran out and he's written over it in just a normal pen.

Those are really nice pictures, even they aren't very clear!! He's an amazing actor, loved him in both X-men and LOTR!!

I was wondering why he only signed one of your photos yet signed both of mine Sai . I was really afraid something had happened to my request when you received yours last Friday. It was sort of a long time coming but as my SASE was not marked in any way I have no idea whether he signed your photos first, or just simply got to or posted my request out later than yours. In any case, I guess the end result is that it was nice to receive a quick reply
