HUGH JACKMAN AP DISAPPOINTMENT

I finally received a reply back from Wolverine. My letter was sent to Fox in Australia. It came back from the US.

Date sent: Feb. 21, 2008
Date received: May 22, 2008

Address Used: (doubt it's still valid)

Hugh Jackman
Wolverine
Fox Studios Australia
Studio Administration
Building 16
38 Driver Ave
Moore Park, NSW, 2021
Australia

I sent a LOR, SAE, $4 US, and an 8x10 colour photo.

My letter came back from the US. They kept my photo and sent me the same one (theirs) back. They sent me four APs, the signatures and inscriptions on all are identical. They sent me two identical photos of Wolverine, both AP. AND they sent me four more pictures of Wolverine without anything written on it.

I have no idea why they sent me eight photos. I'm sorry to say I am extremely disappointed. I know some people are happy to have APs---at least they are a copy of the authentic. Only an authentic thrills me.

So . . . has anyone ever received an authentic from Mr. Jackman via venue? Should I try again at the next venue and cross my fingers?

Here are the photos they sent. They are beautiful photos. I only wish they hadn't been signed by a machine.

Hi nightowl :)

Thanks for your feedback {up} Nice success nevertheless! I love the first photo :)

You have been added to the list for the $10 gift certificate.

Yeah sadly I don't think anyone gets anything other than AP from him. I sent to him and got two different photos than yours. I really like yours though.

Sorry to hear about your disappointment, nightowl. {down} I still think they are really nice photos despite them being AP.
Unfortunately, I would tell you not to bother. He sends AP TTM and VV no matter what from what I've seen. Your only chance of getting an authentic from him is truly In Person.

Larisie :)

Yes, I had figured as much when I received these.

Well, at least others can learn from my post. Those only interested in authentics don't bother with via venue.

Thanks for the info... he was on my list to send out on Monday, but now I won't waste the stamps...

Thanks for the post...

Too bad about the AP. I agree with you on the "authentics" only idea. I only want authentics, and it is pretty disappointing and lame when they send back PP and AP. I just got a PP back from Jessica Biel from a movie set... It was exciting for about 2 minutes, until I opened the letter and saw what I got.

"It was exciting for about 2 minutes, until I opened the letter and saw what I got."

When I read that I have to admit I burst out laughing because I thought the exact same thing! I saw the letter and I am thinking: "What did I get? What did I get?" Like a little kid on Christmas. And then I opened it and realized that the writing was identical on all of them.

I have to admit I did feel sad about it. He doesn't have to personalize it or anything. He could just sign a stack of photos and his secretary could send them out.

For those of us that go to the trouble of tracking him down at a venue address, and go to the trouble of sending it all the way to Australia, or some place like that, it shows that we have gone to a lot of effort and expense. It shows that we are serious about wanting an autograph.

There can't be that many venue requests. Not that many people go to that kind of trouble---except for very serious fans. So why not take the few seconds to sign the picture. It takes less than ten seconds to sign your name, a bit more if you put an inscription. I realize they are busy and would like to relax after working so hard, but how much effort does it take to sign a few autographs via venue. :(
