When I just heard about Dom's sudden death, I was shocked and heartbroken. I will miss him a lot too because he is my very first celebrity to send me an autograph and I will never forget that. NEVER. I can't remember when exactly I received it but it was a couple of years ago. He also sent me a nice letter that I will never forget. I did see him perform in these following live action movies:
The Muppet Move, The Glass Bottom Boat, Cannonball Run , and
Blazzing Saddles. But, what I really like to him best for is his voice acting because I just love the characters that he voiced in these following animated films:
The Secret of NIMH, An American Tail, An Amercian Tail: Fievel Goes West, Oliver & Company, and
All Dogs go to Heaven. I am still waiting for his pal Burt Reynolds to give me his autograph and I hope Burt is very sad about Dom's death as I am. If they ever need a replacement for the characters he voiced, I would be glad to voice them because I can imitate his voice. Also, Dom is one of my major influences that made me want to be a voice actor and comedian along with the following people I am influenced by: Jim Cummings (
Darkwing Duck), Robin Williams (
Aladdin), Cheech Marin (
Oliver & Company, Cars), David Spade (
The Emperor’s New Groove), Dave Foley (
A Bug’s Life), Burt Reynolds (
All Dogs go to Heaven), Gilbert Gottfried (
Aladdin), Eddie Murphy (
Mulan, Shrek), Chris Rock (
Osmosis Jones, Madagascar), Jim Carrey (
The Mask, Horton Hears a Who), and Jason Marsden (
A Goofy Movie, The Lion King II: Simba’s Pride). I will miss him so much. Rest in peace Dom DeLuise. I love you.
