Sent an email 9/9/08 and today recieved a photo with her with a message on the inside flap that it is a real autograph. 9/15/08

Nice success Unfortunately, Angelina Jolie only sends preprints (actually, anything from Studio Fan Mail is never an authentic). However ,it is still a nice photo!

Actually I requested it for my charity and if you go to my site it says on the envelope real jolie so they sent a real one

Since Angelina is really big into charity and helping others, she might send out real ones for charities, but before you advertise it as real in order to sell it (I am assuming you will sell it for your charity) you might want to check other successes and see if they match yours. Most everyone gets a PrePrint. The only real one I've seen is IP or VV.

I'll check but I wasn't just advertising it as real. It said on the envelope that it is real. The part of the envelope they wrote that is on my webpage.

NOTHING from SFM is ever authentic, end of discussion. SFM dont have access to any authentics, they only have access to PPs/laserprints/autopens. Whether you mentioned charity or not, as far as I'm aware they do not have the resources to reply to that request (especially so fast) so therefore the chances of it being "real" as you call it are slim to none. I'm also 100% sure Ive seen that pic before several times.

Just my opinion.

But now assume for one second it is authentic, I guarantee loads of people will now email claiming to be writing for charity, just to get an authentic, and keep it for themselves. The word "real" should be removed from the thread title to prevent abuse in any case.

I have fixed the title

I am sorry I haven't reaponded sooner I was out of town but I am supporting two charities, one for Lupus one for Children with heart problems. I have the link here and its not an auction its a celebrity store the first few autographs are up. http://www.freewebs.com/projectmidnightsun/

Second of all I do NOT plan on keeping the autograph for myself no matter what OTHER people think and Josie it said on the envelope it was real but you had no business changing it. I wouldn't lie about stuff and like I said they are the ones who put Real Jolie on the envelope not me so sorry if others disagree.

You've missed the point of why the title was changed.

SFM only send PPs, so if people notice that someone got an apparent authentic by claiming they're collecting for charity, then people will do it. Its morally wrong, but people will do it, so the title was changed to protect charity collectors.
