Celebrity Merchandise - I don't get it.

I was looking at the site, and I just am not sure what their angle is. You can ask for some pics of people, and supposedly it's free, but they want a credit card? Then there's just a smattering of other things - some cd's and posters, etc. What's their agreement with the celebrities?

Did anyone read their privacy policy? This part bothers me:
Information submitted at the time of registration or submission may be used for marketing and promotional purposes by celebritymerch.com Productions and may be shared with companies that have been pre-screened by celebritymerch.com Productions.

So, I admit that I haven't tried them.

I guess I just trust SFM more. I use a unique email address when I ask for pictures from them, as I've done for YEARS, and have never received another email to that address ('cept of course the autoreply right when I send the request.) Plus look how many A-list stars SFM has. It's like the industry trusts them too. I was looking at Nissaea's post http://www.fanmail.biz/mboard/viewtopic.php?t=23916 and that's just a huge bunch of really nice pics from a lot of really big stars.

Sorry, I guess this is really just a rant. Maybe someone can tell me more about Celebrity Merch.

You don't have to fill in a credit card number... just click "go on" or how it's called.

Hey guys :),

I just put in some random numbers, and it worked.
They even mentioned that they won't charge the credit card,
I quote:
"Thanks for your order! For those of you who only ordered a Free Photo, don't worry, you will NOT BE CHARGED! It's really Free!"
