How much US postage do I need for this kind of letter?

Hey guys,
I'm planning to send a request to an American actress. I'm going to send her pictures and a DVD cover to sign, so I need a big envelope. I'm going to use one that is a little bigger than a normal DVD.


size about 16,2 x 22,9 cm (c5)


How many US-stamps do I need for the SASE (USA to Germany)? I was thinking about 2-3 dollars, is that enough? Please help!
Also, do I need to put an "Air Mail" sticker on it (as I usually only use small Air Mail envelops and I've never tried bigger ones)?

Around $2.00 is what you'll need. I just sent a letter and some small 4x6 photos to the UK and that cost me $1.05, so something the size of a DVD cover, would be around $2.00. If you have air mail stickers to put on it, that's a good idea, or you can simply write 'Air Mail' on the envelope too.

Are there any US residents or people that have sent DVD covers, do you know the exact price of a letter o that size from the US to Europe?

Assuming it's under 1oz.. I mean, DVD covers are essentially just a piece of paper isn't it? You'd need $1.75 in postage.

Yeah, it's gonna be 1 DVD cover and 2 pictures 10x15cm (4x6) ...
