Request of a fan pack

Hi, I've seen that many users in this forum recieve fan packs from nba, hockey, football teams, and I would like to know how to request for one. I mean, what you do say in the letter? "I'd love to recieve a fan pack"? That really doesn't sound good to me, as I'm not an English native speaker, so any help would be appreciated {up}
Please do not get benefit from this awesome hobby. I collect because of the personal value, not the economic value.
