Need some help here

Unread post by alexandre596 »

Hi, I'm new here, and I'm about to send my first fanmail
well, I need some kind of help, I read a lot around here, and it answered a lot of my questions, but I still got some..

well, I'm Brazilian, so, someone here know where can I find those "cupoms", or something? in the post-office? (If someone knowns how much it is, I'll be grateful, but whatever..)
and, what I need to send? a letter and a picture? or just a letter? should I ask for the autograph in the letter? (I think so, but it's better ask)
How long it'll take to get an answer back from a international sending? like 4-5 months?

Can I send it in an ordinary envelope, or I'll need a special one?

thank you

edit
forgot about something...
where should I place those cupoms/stamps that I'll need to send? should they be in the envelope, or inside it, with the letter/picture?

You can find IRC's (international reply coupons) at the post office. Some may not sell them anymore. If they don't then you can either buy stamps from the country you are sending too or send in money.

You can send a letter, photo is optional, and a sase. If you want an autograph then ask politely in your letter.

You can not predict how long mail will take. Sending fan mail is like a waiting game, you will never know when your photos will arrive. It can take months or even years.

You can use ordinary envelopes

If you are sending IRC's then you put it inside the envelope. If you use money, put it inside the envelope. If you are using stamps from another country put it on your self addressed stamped envelope

If you have any questions then pm me.

thank you, it really helped me
I think I'm going to send it tomorrow

2 small things: if I send money, I'll need to send in dollars, right? I think it'll be easier to get dollars, but I'll try find some IRCs :P
and the sase, is a stamped envelope, with my address filled in it? I'll need to send this envelope inside the envelope right?

thank you sooo much

Yes in dollars. A SASE is a envelope with your address on it and a stamp and then you put the SASE in the bigger envelope
