I sent out my letter, picture and SASE to rapper Nas, using the Columbia Records Address that was in the database. I sent this out sometime in January.
In March I recieved and RTS with a red stamp saying "RETURN TO SENDER, UNSOLICITED MATERIAL, NY, NY 10022"
On the back someone had written the words "Sony Beats", there was no Sony address in the database (but Columbia is a part of Sony I believe) so I resent it out to the ICM address in the database.
I havent heard anything back from that letter but it hasnt been too long so I dont realy think I would hear anything back now.
But I went to the official website link in Nas's database entry and sent feedback to the website. I got an email back saying the same basic stuff they say when sending email feedback "Thank you for your time, we try to answer all mail...." But it said something else about "unsolicited email" in the FAQ's.
I was just wondering if this could mean that Sony condsiders autograph requests "junk mail" and "spam" and if this means I wont get an autograph from him.
If anyone has sent to Nas, Sony, Or ICM, or has any tips on this please tell me.

Hi OutlawKid
I think when they mean "unsolicited email" they mean spam emails. I don't think you have anything to worry about there.
As for "unsolicitated material" they probably didn't want to accept fan mail.
Overall, I don't see Nas as the type of person who would sign autographs TTM. I can imagine him signing in person though, or maybe via venue. That would be my guess, but you never know what could happen ...
Good luck!

OK, well thats what I had thought they meant about the Unsolicited stuff.
Do you think any rapper would sign something?
I'm pretty sure some of the big time guys who have more time on their hands or the ones who aren't working on albums, they might be more prone to autographs through fan mail.
But thanks for your insight.

It's worth sending requests out to any rappers you would like an autograph from - you might be lucky enough to get something back

However, you might have a better shot at via venue or in person.
Good luck!
