My coworker has got me intrigued with the hobby of autograph collecting. I already have Marshall Faulk (from the collector's edition Madden 12). I was just wondering where I should start and what else I need. Any help/tips?

Hi Decarow,

Autograph collecting is a lot of fun, but there's also an equal amount of work that goes into it. All you really need is plenty of paper, stamps, business sized envelopes, and large manilla envelopes. When requesting an autograph write the recipient's address on the business sized envelope, and your address on the larger envelope along with enough postage to have it returned to you. The larger envelope is considered a SASE (Self addressed stamped envelope). You can also include pictures or something else if you would like it to be autographed.

Other than that, you can always brainstorm and write a list of people who's autograph you would like to obtain one day, lookup the addresses for them, and go from there. Some requests can take days to come back, and I have had some take years. I think it's really exciting to get an autograph back in the mail and it's well worth the wait, but I still find myself getting impatient lol.

If you have any other questions, ask away.

-Courtney
