Australian IRC prices

Unread post by ScottJ »

hello all :D

Just wanted to let any Aussie collectors on here know that I recently called Australia Post to order some IRC's and they informed me that the cost of them is going up about 10-15c. Currently they are $2.90. That made me think twice about ordering them and since then I have purchased US stamps from Ebay. My requests normally consisted of a LOR and an IRC in a business sized envelope. Now I can send an A4 SASE with the US stamps on and an LOR for the same price in a larger envelope for the same price as the method I mentioned previously, $2.05.

It seems as though not using an IRC and using the US stamps works out cheaper. I worked out the return postage from the US and it seems as though, with the weight of the envelope and the photo that they will be sending back, it costs 3 x 48c stamps from the US. Also, as some people have mentioned in previous posts, if the IRC isnt recognised in some countries post offices then a success is more like with the SASE using the US stamps :D

Hope this all makes sense lol. I tried to not sound too confusing :D

All the best

Scott

Hey there,

I know you posted this for a while but I just moved here and wanted to start my autograph collection again. Thanks for the info!
