Jenna Fischer I've read, plus based on my own personal experience of getting a photo, has been known to be very gracious with her fans when it comes to signing and taking pictures, but I get a sense that's changing now that she's not regularly working.

It's actually BETTER to send to someone who ISN'T working regularly because you have a better shot to get a success. People like Gaga, Beyonce, Britney (since 2010), Madonna and Taylor S: it's really hard to get them because they STAY working. So stay on the positive side

Whoa her manager goes thru her mail? Well most likely they will put what "approved mail" in a pile or so for her to sign once she comes to the office or something......

Or someone else does like an assistant type. She said to send it to her manager's office and that letters have to be pre-screened.

Actually that isn't pretty standard. Before I started writing to celebs back in 2008, I called tons of agencies to ask them if they select "material" such as photos and posters to have them sign and also asked them if they read the letter. Now one outta three (if that) said they have "screenings" and 2 outta three said they accept pics and stuff. The main one that really didn't accept pics back in 2008 (not sure about now) is William Morris. So not a lot of agencies actually do a pre-screening kinda thing..

I would be astounded if the American agencies didn't check things, given their attitude to security. The UK agencies are notorious for it, indeed several have it on their website that everything is checked prior to being sent. I'll bow to your five years of experience there though, and the fact that you always know everything.

And if you wanna take it like I'm arguing with u about everything. U CAN DO THAT lol but that's not what i'm doing. I am letting others know (including yourself) that in the US that's not what goes on. I don't think that's a bad thing that I let others know the truth.

I'll respectfully disagree, based on the above reasoning. There is NO way that the majority of agencies don't check the contents before forwarding them on.

Do these agencies and managements actually pass on inappropriate letters, photos, and/or other items to celebs? It seems like common sense for someone to pre-screen and approve the items before sending/giving them to the celeb to sign.
