so I hate to be that guy but I was hoping if someone would be able to help me to see if I have am doing something wrong with my SASEs I am sending with requests to the UK. I have yet to get a single success from 8 requests I have sent over to the UK and I am wondering if I am doing something wrong with the address since everyone I have wrote too has a good success rate. I figured at least I would hear back from one of them.
On the SASE I am just putting my address here per normal and United States of America on the bottom. I am attaching 2 large letter Royal Mail stamps along with 4 regular regular First Class Royal Mail stamps (yes I am probably over paying with postage but I would rather be on the safe side with overseas mail)
I am also making a small note on the bottom left of the that says "International Post" since I don't have any of those stickers.
So am I missing something or am I just in a bit of a slump? Just wanted to see if I need to be doing something different with the address.

Re: SASE to the UK from US questions
You left off the key piece of information: how long you've been waiting.
It's possible that your wait is just standard transit/travel time. Keep in mind that the average domestic wait for an autograph is usually about 3 months.
If I had a nickel for every "Where's my autograph? What'd I do wrong?" post I've seen after 1-2 weeks, I'd be quite wealthy. I'm not saying that you're one of those posters, but it's hard to say what's going on with your specific situation without send dates, as well as whether or not your original letters were shipped Priority or First Class.
Honestly, depending on who you wrote to, I wouldn't start worrying until the wait hits about 6 months. Easier said than done, I know.

Awww, how cute. Someone who thinks that people will be dumb enough to believe that they're me, despite the blatant period & completely different post numbers.
And, of course, the obvious fact that if, if it were me, I would've edited the post, not replied to it. Not to mention it's not necessarily true that "nobody but her will know why she signed it twice" & I'm smart enough to know that.
Not to mention the grammatical mistakes.
But, please, carry on. You can help me find more people to add to my ignore list. I don't need to be bothered reading posts by users that are stupid enough to believe that these 2 accounts are the same. I appreciate the help in weeding out the ****. So thank you.
Re: SASE to the UK from US questions
They were all sent the first week of January. I think I am going to go and order some more Royal Mail stamps and try some of them again. lol I'm an eternal optimist.

Re: SASE to the UK from US questions
January is not a long wait. I'd wait and only resend after a year.

It also depends on who they wrote to, though. As well as the mail service/class they used.BossC wrote:January is not a long wait. I'd wait and only resend after a year.
