I am requesting photos of Regina as Mayor Mills and of course as the Evil Queen. In the instructions it says provide return sase letter and photo. Pardon my stupidity but do they want your photo (the person requesting ) for their files? Or do they want you to provide a photo that you want to have signed by the actress? I know it sounds stupid but I want to make sure before spending a lot.ofoneynto.send a request to so many actors and actresses only.to find that I shod have sent my picture instead. Are they keeping a data base of the people that send in requests? Why do they want a "photo"? What kind of photo? I know it will be appropriate but just asking.
I have read some people say that they didn't even use my photo...what does that mean?

Some stars have photos to send to fans but it's best to send a photo you want signed.

Yep, pretty much like others have said above, it's normally the done thing to select one or two photos of a particular celeb that you really like and send those pics to the celeb (with letter, SASE etc) in the hope that they will sign and return them for you.

Some celebs do have their own photos and so you can send no photo at all, just a letter and SASE but it does decrease the chance of a response (not in all cases, but many) if you expect the celeb to provide a photo they have paid for, rather than them just signing something sent at your expense.

If you have a picture of yourself WITH the celeb that could be a cool item to have signed though. I have pics of myself as a teenager with Alice Cooper, Rob Halford and a few other rock stars that I managed to get signed many years later.
