I got some autographs back recently that were written on glossy photos in a silver pen. But the moment the ink touches paper or anything it just comes straight off! I am trying to save it from coming off but I don't know how. Is there some way I can seal the ink to the picsor stop it from coming off?

Pen coming off, What can I do?
H,

Its a paint pen. They are the devil in the autograph collecting world. LOL, I have quite a few too. The best thing to do is put in a frame, but make sure the glass is not touching the autograph. They make frames that the glass is raised from the backing, almost like a shadow box. If the autograph is in really bad shape, write a letter to the person who sent it explaining the situation. I have done both of these things many times and havent failed yet. Good Luck, I hope this helps.

Make sure nothing touches the surface of the autograph, or it'll continue to rub off
ozzman's suggestion is a very good idea, it'll keep the autograph in place but is still vulerable when touched.
You could try laminating the photo, it'll keep the autograph in place ... but I don't recommend it.
