9x12 from USA to BC, Canada

I was hoping someone might be able to help me out. I want to send a 9x12 envelope with 2 photos, a letter, and a SASE from the US to Canada, but I was wondering how much the postage would be? Do I have to take it to the post office(like are there any claim forms or anything special you have to do to mail it out) or can I just put my own postage on it and drop it in the mail?

It should be $1.00 (two ounces) or $1.31 (three ounces). If your photos are 8x10 it will be 3 ounces, smaller photos than that would be two ounces.

As for forms, there might be one but I have not used it. I always write "Photos" on the envelope and have been told that is ok.
