Images, classical celebs, downloading, capturing, etc

Unread post by snowstop »

Hello folks!

I wonder if anyone out there could give me a good tip on where I could find good photos for downloading (and then printing) of classical "golden" celebrities? Preferably high resolution photos ;-)
If you know of some website I could join (without getting bankrupt), etc.

I an looking for stars like Frank J Cady, Olivia de Havilland, Dody Goodman, Herbert Lom, etc.

Moreover, I wonder if anyone could tip me on some sort of programme to download, to capture images from dvd's. It is impossible to use the "Print Screen" and then using some image programme!

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Well, on my laptop computer I watch DVDs using CyberSolution (I think that is what it is called) and when I hit the letter "c" it captures the frame. I think it automatically files it in a file on your documents called PowerDVD, but you might have to program that--I can't remember off the top of my head.

I don't know of any software you can download that can do that, sorry.

P.S. I wrote Olivia de Havilland last fall, sent a photo and SAE but didn't get a responce.

On a lot of PC programs such a PowerCVD, FLV Player, maybe Windows Media Player too, if you paue the DVD you are watching and then right click on the screen, it will often give you an option saying "Capture" or "Photo" or something alone these lines. If you click on this, then the image it is paused on will be saved onto your PC (it should tell you where) :D

Also, it could be a small camera icon soewhere on the DVD playing program you need to click to take a Screen Capture :) Sorry, I'm not very good at explaining technical stuff so if you need any help then feel free to PM me and I'll try and show you how :D
