Photos required?

I was wondering if you need to have a photo of a celebrity to send them when you request their autograph. I work at a radio station and want to get my favorite celebrities' autographs to decorate the studio, but can't afford to purchase that many pictures. I intend to send a sincere hand written note with each request (about 25 letters with SASEs). Will most stars send out a promotional headshot or something like that?

Yes. Most celebs would have photo's to send out to people who are requesting an autograph. In the case of a person who isn't that famous perhaps not.

Generally most celebs will send out their own photos, but if you want a particular film still signed then you will need to send it!

From experience, on the whole I would have to say that UK celebs are best at supplying their own photos, but this is not always the case.

Yeah I've had the same question before. But if you can't afford some pictures (and I'm in the same boat as you), go to http://www.photobucket.com. You can upload photographs online and get them sent to you really cheaply. I believe a 4x6 photo is only like 15 cents, but a 5x7 is only like 99 cents. I really like this site. Also, you can find some great photos to upload on photobucket at http://www.sparklies.org/gallery.

I don't think you need a photo. You can always send an index card. Maybe you can just get the 4x6 photos (like about 20-30 cents) and also send them those. If you need a good photo of a celebrity, you can always go to a fan site gallery!

yea...if you ask nicely they will send a autograph pic back...but sometimes they give out pre prints
