postage question?

Unread post by BTrain1029 »

So I am new to all of this, and I have a question. I went to the post office to mail the letters and SASE. I told them just make two of each postage, and I put one on the outgoing envelope, and one on the inside envelope. After considering what I had done, I realized the inner envelope now has the postage that says the date of the stamp and the outgoing zip code. I am thinking that this postage will be useless now, is that correct?? Should I resend the letter and picture, but this time use generic first class stamps instead?

You should be fine. I've never done that, but as long as you paid for postage, I don't think the post office should care where it came from.

Best wishes!
