How to protect my Heath Ledger autograph

Unread post by Sai »

Hi all,
I was hoping for some advice. I have an authentic in person Heath Ledger autograph ( a friend of my Mum got for me years ago) and I had always hoped to meet him one day in person and get it again, and therefore have had it in a frame on my wall, not really protected. As there is now no chance of me doing as I wished, I want to keep it someone a bit more protected. What is the best way I can protect it? It's signed on a kind of cardboard tag that he was wearing for a judging pass with a little blue ribbon on the end. (pic below)

Also I would NEVER EVER sell it as Heath has been my favorite actor since forever and was one of the biggest inspirations for me in taking up film making as a career. He's a real hero of mine. It has a much to big sentimental value to me. But I was wondering what its around about worth as I have never had an auto of a sadly deceased person. Anyone got an idea?

Hi,
If it is signed with a marker, then u should keep it in an acid free album, but if it signed with a ball bean, just keep it away from the sunlight, and keep it humid. It is worth around 40-60 USD i guess, proberly less then u expected.
anyways happy chinese new year,
jason. ;-)

hey,
i would like to add- it would sell for more if signed on photo, and if you can get a serious buyer. With a serious buyer, it can sell for 100usd, as u also have a proof picture.
hope it helps,
jason. ;-)

Wow I thought it would have been worth just that when he was alive, seeing as he's such a big star. I was under the impression that an A list celebrity's autograph would become very expensive once they were deceased as there wont be any more signatures getting signed. I mean when Steve Irwin died his autos were going for ridiculous prices! But well there you go. Thanks:) Like I said its sentimental value for me i worth a lot more than that!

Thank you for the advice on storage. It was written with just a blue pen so I guess i just need to keep it out of the light :)

I reckon 75-100 for his legit signature isn't all that unrealistic , also he died a tragic death which often means it's worth more...grim I know but that's usually the case.
