Help...Envelopes size

Unread post by fan0258 »

Hey all,

I just came back from the store and they sell only 9.5x13 inch envelopes, can I still send them with my letter to the celebrity and get a reply?
Does the envelope's size matters?

Of course you can! Envelope size is important in some cases. If you write to a:______ and send a picture sized _____ it is best to use a: _____.

1. Actor/Actress: 8x10: 9x12
2. Most athletes: 8x10: 9x12
3. Baseball players (if you ask for/send a card): letter sized
4. Baseball players (if you ask for/send a picture): 8x10: 9x12

For a picture sized 5x7, use a 6x9 envelope.

Hi fan0258,

Envelope size can occasionally matter, it just depends how large the photo is that the celebrity is going to send to you. Check the feedback, and see how large the photo is of the celebs you want to write to.

The stores near me do not sell 8x10 envelopes at all, so I usually sent a 9x12, and it seems to work just fine!

This might be considered off topic but it does have something to do with envelope size. I was wondering, when you send a SASE, what size envelope should I send it (and my letter) in? The SASE's I have would be 9X12.

This would be the first time that I would have used a SASE that is this big so I need some help. I don't want to put too many creases in it either.

If you dont want the envlope to get bent, you will have to use an envlope as big as the sase your sending, if you dont mind then putting the pic in a bent envlope(and probably bending the pic) then you can fold it into a smaller envlope, does that help any or did I confuse you more?

Thanks jdp3577 :D

Do you use the same size envelope to mail the SASE in? It seems a waste to put the SASE in it with only a letter -sending a photo to them, I understand that, but just a SASE?

Ok, What does everyone else use? The same size as the SASE or fold it (how many times) and stick it in a different size envelope?
