New and a few questions

Unread post by wolfmyjic »

Hi everybody. I'm knew here and to this whole world of autograph collecting. And being such, I have a few questions.

First, I have a question about buying pictures. Is it worth buying pictures from eBay to send out for autographs or is it better to find a picture on the internet and print it out myself (yes, my printer can handle this). And are there places to find an 8 x 10 or 5 x 7 format that prints out well??? And what about stock photo sites??

2) Is it better to send a picture with a light background or does it matter?

Thanks!!

Someone else can answer the first one better than I can so I'll leave that to them. But about your second question, I would recommend a light background because a lot of them will sign with black even if you have a really dark pic and it's hard to see the sig

As for your first question, buying photos vs. printing your own, I always look at the price. Ebay can have good photos but they usually charge a lot and then there is shipping cost. I can print photos at a store for a REAL cheap price. So I usually go that route.

Personally, I don't print them on my own printer. Ink for the printer can get costly and I just prefer the photo store, less hassle that way--but some stores are picky about copyright images.

As for finding images online, google the celebrity's name you want and click images, the sort by extra large images, (if you can't find anything you like, go to large, then medium).

Hope that helped and I didn't totally confuse you. :D Let me know if you have any other questions!
