Hey guys I live in Ireland and i wanted to ask a question , I have a number of English stamps I am going to use for Sases .
There is no pence value on them but they are " 2nd Class Stamps".
What value is that? How many would I need to get it from England to Ireland? Just a normal a5 envelope.
Thanks!
How much are my stamps worth? Anyone?

Would need to see them to be sure, but when I need to work out the value of stamps I have for SASE's I look on the Postage Department website of that place. http://www.postoffice.co.uk/portal/po/j ... d=35600681
Under stamp collecting you can probably view pictures and prices, that's what I do when I send to the USA.

2nd class stamps are either 27p or 42p, depending on the size of stamp. The 42p ones say "Large" on them. Large stamps are used for items which are over 240mm x 165mm, 5mm thick.
Assuming they're small stamps, and the weight is under 100g, you need to send it via Airmail Letters. The price would be £1.36. So you'd need 6 2nd class stamps for UK to Rep. Ireland.
If the item you're sending is over the size limits above, you won't be able to use the stamps you have. And A5 envelope is classed as a small letter, so provided you don't go over 5mm thick, it should be fine.
