Buying UK Stamps from Royal Mail

Unread post by Selise »

Hi!

I live in the US, just need to figure out what the difference is between Large Letter and 1st Class.

I'd love to mail to some celebs in the UK, and I need a SASE for the ones I want (VV) but my question is just which stamp do I order?

I've tried to get IRCs where I am, but there is no way in 6 post offices that I can get them. :(

Thanks in advance,

Selise

I am in the US as well but here is what I do.

I have 2nd class stamps and they are worth .27 and so when I send a 5X7 photo and sase (6x9), I need three of them on the SASE.

Sending from the UK to US will have different postage prices than the UK to UK, but that is all I know. You can also check theCollectors sticky about shipping prices and maybe that can help you as well. I hope this helped a little or hopefully someone else can give you better advice. {up}

Hello Guys :)

A first class stamp is worth 0.36p and thats all you have to worry about if you are sending 6x4 photos.

To check the specific postal prices from the UK to the USA, you can go on to the Royal Mail site, there's a section called "Postage Caculator" where you can simply select the destination and the weight of the item, then it'll caculate the return postage for you {thumb2}

Selise: If you need IRCs I can get you some as it is very easy to get them over here, however, I do suggest stamps as they are easier for celebs to deal with especially when sending VV. If you are not looking at a lot of stamps then why not get them on ebay.co.uk? ;-) PM me if you want more info.
