How to get started?

I'm about to start sending request out for the first time, but need to know a few things to officially get started.

I'm in Canada, and most of the request i want to send is to the US, so if i send a SASE with stamps purchased via canada post, will this work? or do i specifically need stamps purchase from USPS?

If you would like a reply from the USA, you would have to put U.S (and not Canadian), stamps on your return envelope. These stamps can be purchased from the USPS.
