1. How do you find these official email to email celebs to ask for autographs? I came across two emails that ive written to different actors and recieved responses back so Id like to try the email route first. lol.
2. What happens if you write to a celeb at the wrong address?
3. Do you just straight out ask for an autograph, or do you include an actual letter? I usually have trouble figuring out what to say to stars like say the Twilight cast.
4. Do you HAVE to send a photo to most celebs if you want an autograph back or can you jsut send a request?
Just looking for some tips and advice. Much appreciated! : )

Re: new to autograph collecting. couple of questions!
1. Well, Studio Fan Mail has emails. But we don't give them out here. You have to find them and assume they're accurate.
2. You'll get an RTS, and normally there's another address. You get your stuff back, too.
3. 99.9% of the people write a letter, but if you want to you can just ask for an autograph but you most likely won't get anything back, or a horrible response back.
4. Some people do send photos, others don't. You can send one just in case, or see in other successes if they send photos and the sizes. It's your choice. When writing VV, always send a photo, they usually don't have one.
Usually people send an SASE too, as it does increase your chance. Read more about them on different places in the forum {thumb2}. Good luck collecting, and enjoy the site!

Ok.. If you want to find the emails out, you're not going to find them out here. We don't give out the celebs email address because it will get spammed and take away from true fans. If you're a true fan of the celeb, spend some time researching them and I'm sure you'll find some emails.itzleena wrote:1. How do you find these official email to email celebs to ask for autographs? Well, one of four things.itzleena wrote:2. What happens if you write to a celeb at the wrong address?
Typically - you'll get an RTS - return to sender.
If you're lucky - you'll get an RTS with a forwarding order (new address to write to them)
If you're SUPER lucky - the letter will be forwarded to the actor at their new address.
If you're like me - you'll never hear anything back.
You have to write a letter to the person, and near the end of it request an autograph. Wouldn't you find it rude if someone wrote to you and just said, "Could I have your autograph?" You should tell the celebs a bit about yourself, why you like them, what you admire about them/their work, what your favorite ____ was. Then ask for an autograph. The key is being polite. Remember: please and thank you.itzleena wrote:3. Do you just straight out ask for an autograph, or do you include an actual letter? You don't have to send a photo. For some celebs, you do need to send something, or you won't receive anything back. Check in the feedback area here for the celebs that want you to send something.itzleena wrote:4. Hope that helped.

Re: new to autograph collecting. couple of questions!
Hey itzleena!
I see you have already been answered very nicely, so I'm just going to give my little responses too!
When I first started writing fan mail, I also e-mailed a few of their clients, but I now only keep authentics.
Some are very nice photos, at least! In an e-mail to an agent, you can just straight forward request an autograph/signed photo and remember to give them your address.
You can write anything you want (there is no correct or wrong letter!) - tell them why you admire them, write a bit about yourself, and then, you can politely ask if they could send you an autograph photo.
I personally prefer the photos they supply and I rarely send my own photos (only when I have to) - I've had some great responses so far!
But you should always try to pay for the return postage, meaning you should try to either send an IRC (when you're sending aboard) or a SASE.
Hope this helps!
Feel free to ask if there is anything else we can help with!
Good luck!

Yes, Studio Fan Mail sends out preprinted photos of their clients.1. How do you find these official email to email celebs to ask for autographs? I came across two emails that ive written to different actors and recieved responses back so Id like to try the email route first. lol.

If you've put your return address on the envelope, you'll get it back marked RTS (Return To Sender).2. What happens if you write to a celeb at the wrong address?
No, I am first and foremost a fan so I write a proper fan letter from my heart.3. Do you just straight out ask for an autograph, or do you include an actual letter? I usually have trouble figuring out what to say to stars like say the Twilight cast.

No, most celebrities already have photos to send to fans.4. Do you HAVE to send a photo to most celebs if you want an autograph back or can you jsut send a request?

Hope this helps!

Good luck!
