If you don't put your return address on the envelope, then most likley it will get tossed if it's unable to be sent to the celebrity. I always put my return address in the corner, and even on the SASE, so it will get to me either way. {thumb2}

I put my address usually on the letter if my SASE gets mispalced. :)

It is most likely to get thrown away.

I remember reading someone say about this before, they said that their letter had been opened (I'm guessing by the postal service) and because their address was inside it got returned to them. I don't know if this happens everytime though, because if it did then I would have had a few of those by now. When I first started collecting I never put my address on the envelope, and I know for definite I sent to the wrong address twice (it was to the Lost cast address when they changed sets a few years back), so I'm sure if the postal service opened your mail then I would have got those 2 back. So yes it probably will just get thrown away, so it's always best to put your address on the envelope because at least you get your letter and pictures back so you can try again, and you're not still left hoping you'll hear back :)

As it was said before, they do open the envelope sometimes. It happened to me once-I wrote my address only in letter and I received everything back as RTS.
The another option (which was already written too) is that they do not open it and only throw it away. The problem here is that you don't know what happened to your letter-is your letter lost or has it reached a celebrity?
Yup, it's much better to write a return address ;)
