Can an SASE only be used in the UK?Which is best SASE or IRC

I'm going to try my best luck at sending Jared Padalecki a gift, since it's his birthday on the 19th And I'm also going to be sending a picture so that he can sign it.
My question is, which is better, SASE or IRC? This is my first time at doing this so, I'm a little confused.. And is an SASE only used in the UK?

It would be amazing if someone could help me!

Your SASE has to include the stamps of the country that the letter/auto is being sent from. For example, I live in the USA and if I were to send to Germany, I couldn't include USA postage on the SASE. I would have to buy an IRC. If the celeb you are writing lives in your same country, then you can send them a SASE (Ex: UK address to UK address). If they live in a different country (i.e. UK address to USA address) then you need an IRC. I hope that helps. PM me if you have any more questions.

A SASE is better for several reasons. First, the celebrity doesn't have to bother exchanging the IRC's for stamps. Second, it has a faster turnaound, than IRC's. Third, some post offices don't carry IRC's. Finally, some celebrities don't even except IRC's.

No, SASE's can be used everywhere. The SASE must include that countries return postage though.

well when i sent my letter to robert pattinson using his uk one i sent one irc i did not know i think they got united kingdom stamps i think they do that is a other way to go. i just learn that out so i would have done it that way since it is faster.

As khackdrums has said, an SASE is most useful, as the celebrity does not have to go to their post office to exchange the IRCs for stamps...etc. An SASE is the most quick and easy option. :razz:

SASE's can be used in any country, as long as the stamps on the self addressed envelope are of the country the envelope is being sent from. So if you are sending from the USA to UK, you'd need American stamps, or if you were sending from France to the USA, you would use French stamps.
