Seattle, WA or Portland, OR (USA) premieres/celeb appearance

Hi, guys. How goes it? Was Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince bloody awesome or what? If I do say so, Rupert Grint and Tom Felton did a stand-out job in particular. But, then again, I could be biased. {love}

Anywho, I could talk about that all day, so lemme get to the point. Is there any real amount of premieres/celebrity appearances happening in Seattle or Portland (USA)? I know they're both pretty big cities, and I live pretty near both of them, and there are certainly some stars that I would love to catch - so is there anything going on in Seattle or Portland, ever? And how would one go about finding out, on a day-to-day basis if anybody will be there, short of following each individual celebrity's page (I am a big fan of many, many tv shows and movies and acting celebrities since that's what I want to do myself and consider it my craft, and listen to more than my fair share of music). What about concerts, in Portland or Seattle?

Alright, I'll take that as a no. But what about conventions (isn't that what they called, at places where they do panels and sign autographs? I've never been to one, obviously).

http://www.creationent.com/index.htm- I think there's a twilight convention in Seattle in January 2010- I'm pretty sure this is a big one if you're a fan of Twilight

for signings, if you know of any Borders, sometimes they have autograph signings, but it's mostly authors, although I have caught a few musical performances

you can always goggle stuff too, like maybe look up signings in seattle or portland or celebrity appearances and check too

Okay, thanks - the Seattle convention is definitely something I'm interested in.

And about the Border's things - how would I go about finding out if a Border's is having a signing or not?

for me I just went on the border's website then click on store locator, there's a place to enter either a zip code or city, state , then you can just click on a store and where it says events at this store is where you can look and see if they have anything that you can go too, it will say discusion and signing or performance and signing. My experience is the borders workers are really helpful during signings and they are really good at getting everyone through the line and making sure everyone got something signed. But that was just at my local stores.
