Newbi Questions...

Unread post by Miss World »

Please bare with me..

I've only been getting IP signatures here in the UAE (its quite rare too).. I read a number of posts which were helpful but I'm faced with an issue that I'm hoping someone could answer me on. I can't find IRCs anywhere! The mail office guy said they don't carry them anymore here. So I thought if it would be ok if I purchased stamps from countries like the States and UK and mail them with the SASEs ? but then, I don't know how much it would cost to to send the letters (the letters/photographs/ etc). Any advice?

And as for sending the photos to be signed, do I have to send actual photo prints (can I print them on my photo printer at home or does it need to be professionally printed?) or can I send any photos I find (like a page from a magazine and such?)

I'm sorry if my questions were somewhat silly..

Thank you all :)

Welcome to fanmail [ugotmail]
Someone might be selling/trading IRC'c on the autographs for sale or exchange fourm
You can also purchase stamps from around the world from the link I posted above ;-)

For the weight, you can take your letter to the post office and they will weigh it and tell you the weight {up}

You can send any photos you like :mrgreen:
Most local supermarkets do professional prints of pictures

Good luck with your collecting :mrgreen:

Hiya Miss World,

And welcome to the wonderful world of autograph collecting TTM! :mrgreen:

You can buy stamps of the countries you need on the link that Paigey012 provided above, or through the website of the mail service of the particular country, with a credit card.

{star} USPS <--America
{star} Royal Mail <-- Britain

Stamps on an SASE if you can get hold of what you need are usually better to send than an SAE with IRCs, as the celebrity does not have to exchange the IRCs for stamps, etc. :) Your post office will weigh the envelope & contents and tell you how much it will cost to send.

As for photos; it's really down to your personal preferance. You can get photos printed at a whole range of places or by ordering them online from many companies and having them delivered. You can also buy photos from sites such as Movie Market, among others.

Your questions weren't stupid at all! Feel free to ask any more you may have. And good luck with your collection! {thumb2}
