Hello,
I was looking at the contact information for Sean Connery and I was wondering why someone sent him 10 US dollars? I am so confused on why people send money. Can someone clear this up for me?
Thanks

Re: Quick Question?
I'm still sort of new to collecting, so I'm not ENTIRELY sure, but I think it's just to cover postage and maybe even as an attempt to pay for the photo. There have been other successes from Sean Connery that were not paid for, so he doesn't seem to require money. Some celebrities do charge, though.
Re: Quick Question?
People send money to the celeb along with there requests to pay for postage
I donot advise sending money with your requests though because the money might fall out / get damaged
It would be best and it would also save more time if you used a stamped SASE or IRC's {thumb2}

Re: Quick Question?
Like others have said, some people send money to cover postage (which along with Paige, I wouldn't recommend doing). I've also read on other people's collecting websites that they think if you send a celeb money you'll get a better response (which isn't true unless a celeb charges for their autograph). But you should be fine just sending him either an SASE or IRC - it's safer. Good luck {thumb2}

Re: Quick Question?
Yes I agree, people send money in an attempt to cover the postage if they have no stamps/ IRC's etc.
But it is risky, as it could fall out, or be stolen etc (not very likely, but i've had it happen to me in the past)
