1 IRC stand for how much postage of UK?

Unread post by kaoiyin »

I just wanna ask 1 IRC stand for how much postage of UK?
coz i have bought 4 IRCs already, and i'm not sure it is enough or not.
my letter weight 100 gram, and i check the royal mail website, it said the postage of a letter that weight 100 gram to Hong Kong is £2.80 , i don't know how many ircs should i send together with my letter....

i'm going to send the mail to Alan Rickman...haha :D

62p.

If you send it via Small Packet rate it's only £1.68 (rather than £2.80).

Be warned though, Alan rarely replies. It's up to you if you want to take the risk :)

"Letter" and "Small Packet" in this case cover what's inside the mail, not how large it is. Both "Letter" and "Small Packet" have the following as maximum dimension:

Lenght + width + height must not exceed 35 inches, one side cannot exceed 23 inches.

Therefore, yours (at 8 x 12) is obviously fine. As you're writing corespondance too, on further checking it seems you will indeed have to use Letter, which is £2.80 (so sorry if I've confused you.)

As I said, an IRC is worth 62p here. Therefore, for £2.80, you'll need 5.

Also, 100g is rather heavy, what is it you're sending? :)
