Printing Photos at home help

Unread post by KatrinaLouise »

Hi

I am having some problems printing 6x4 photos on my printer at home. When I do this all the photos have a white box at the side of the photos. Even though the photos are high enough resolution and big enough in size this happens. I always set the photos at full page but have changed the settings. I always do it to crop the photo to size rather than to shrink the photos.

I would be very greateful for any help. I use a HP photosmart printer and the HP programs.

I don't so much photo printing at home but I think the white border is normal--you don't want the ink running off the edge and messing up the printer. If you don't like it, you can trim it with scissors once it is dry.

Maybe someone else will know for sure. {thumb2}

you need to change your settings to borderless photos, it should be in the paper selection area, there will be something like a 4x6 size, then if you scroll down, it should show 4x6 borderless

I am using the borderless setting. It is not a true border as it does not extend around the whole of the photo. It is a block of white space on one edge.
