Drawings and creativity...?

Unread post by Fisher&Sons »

Hey. I didn't get to look through every post on here, so if this has already been asked before, feel free to point that out to me! haha
I was just wondering...Does anyone think it is a cool idea to send something creative along with your fanmail, like a drawing you did of the actor or something, or would that just be lame or an extra hassle or something?
Thanks for your help! :D

Of course you can! I've sent out 'original drawings' that I've done and gotten them signed. as a matter of fact, Check out this Spiderman drawing that member apetchel sent to Stan Lee:

Hello,

I think it's a lovely idea. I sometimes send homemade cards to celebrities when I feel in a creative mood but I don't often have enough free time to sit down, get my crafts out and make a decent looking card.
If you have the time to do this then go for it {up} I am sure the celebrity would appreciate that extra bit of effort you put in.

Hi Fisher&Sons!

I agree with everyone else. I think that's an absolutely wonderful idea! I actually did something similar with a celeb and they were so grateful and appreciative. It's something different aside from the traditional fan letter.

When I wrote to Jacqueline Wilson, I drew a collage of different pictures of her book characters (Tracy Beaker etc.) I got a great success and she thanked me for my picture {up}
I think its nice to include handmade cards/pictures/drawings!

Hey!
Thanks for the replies everyone. (And sorry for the way I asked the question, I was in a hurry at the time).

Anyways, I was just wondering if anyone thought it would be a neat idea, because a couple years ago, I used to draw a bunch of cartoon-ey like pictures of actors and characters and stuff, for myself and for friends, and I thought it might be a neat idea to send some of these along with some of my fan letters! :D

And I am glad to hear you guys think it is a good idea! Thanks again for the replies!
