Have i put enough IRCs ?

Hello ! Today, i wrote to Robert Pattinson, Kellan Lutz, and Jackson Rathbone. In each letter, there are my letter, a pic, a SAE, and IRC(s). ! The postman told me : if your enveloppe is less than 20 gramms, you just have to put 1 IRC. But if it is over ( less than 40), add 2 IRCs... So I just put 1 IRC in the letter for Rob, and 2 IRCs in the letters for Kellan and Jackson...

Was he right ? I thaught i had to put 1 IRC each 10 gramms

hm if thats what he says id go with him but personally i wouldve sent 2. the only way id send one is if i was sending a plain 4x6 enveope. anthing bigger id send 2. just my opinion but i think ul b ok

1 IRC is valid for envelopes of 20g, so it's normally best to include about 2. The link you gave makes it look as if the envelopes were jiffy type bubble wrap padded ones, which will of course bring up the weight as well so it might be that it is let through and goes unnoticed or you may receive a note from your postman asking for you to pay the remaining postage costs before delivering your envelope, so it could be fine.

I sent a letter from Serbia to U.K. with only one IRC. Is it going to be enough to cover the letter? I am expecting images 8x10 sizes.

That is generally correct. However, just note that some countries have slightly different envelope weight guidelines for the number of IRC's required.

For example, in Australia 1 IRC will cover an envelope up to 50g. In many countries it is only 20g.

As a general guide, if you are only expecting to receive small (standard) envelopes back, 1 IRC will be fine.

If you are expecting to receive larger envelopes (such as ones indicated in your photo NiNaTheDreamer), a minimum of 2 IRC's should be included with your request.
