TTM in December?
I just wanted to get yalls opinions. I've sent far fewer football cards out this month than in months past because of the mail that comes with the Holidays. I don't want to risk sending something off and it getting lost.
Is this is a good idea? Bad? Do I have anything to worry about? Do yall send TTM in December?

Re: TTM in December?
I send requests all year. I personally think I get more in december as most celebs take the holidays off from their projects and have more time to answer fanmail.

Higher volumes might lead to an increase risk of lost or misplaced mail during the holiday season. Mail might also take a bit longer to reach it's destination during this time of the year.

Since you are talking about sports personalites, not movie stars, I would tend to lay off until after Christmas. I did just send out three requests to former baseball players last Monday; but I am planning to wait until Christmas is over before resuming. I don't want my cards to get lost in the player's homes while the hustle and bustle of the season is going on.

They may just hold fanmail until Christmas is over. You really can't tell for each individual.

I generally don't mail in Dec because of all the extra mail in the system because of the holidays. The last thing I want is to have my request get lost in all the hustle and bustle. I can wait the extra month--and spend more time preparing letters/printing photos, etc

The mail services will be very buisy in December due to all the Christmas letters and parcels but I send my requests all year round
There is an increased risk of your requests getting lost or delayed in the mail over the Christmas period so its up to you if you want to send in December
Good luck!!

You can trust the postal service, increased risk doesn't mean dangerous risk.

I agree. I work part-time in a post office and the only thing that changes is the volume.Sasorikiller wrote:You can trust the postal service, increased risk doesn't mean dangerous risk.
I found that responses are down during the holidays, but it picks back up when they are over. You'll just have to wait a little longer for the replies.

Over 9,000 requests sent since 1986.
