Home Address/zip code help
Okay long post but PLEASEEE help me. I belong to a website which gives TONS of home addresses of stars. This post isn't to argue whether people like sending to home or not BTW. BUT, I sent out 3 and all came back RTS, yet they match up on the website and they match up on a bing map address. I went to the USPS site and looked them up and the address came up and said it was deliverable, but had the zip code with the -xxxx. So, what does this mean? Does it mean that I need to send to the addresses with the more specific zip +4 (which would be a mailbox at the post office or something because of their high profile they dont want mail sitting there)? Or should the zip +4 not matter and the celebs just are not accepting fanmail and such at the address, and I should just use the letter, pic, SASE, and send it off to a manager/agent/etc. Or is it beacuse the 3 that came back were to LA and Beverly Hills and there is something about that area? Please help me out, thank you!!
Re: Zip code question/home addresses
The Zip+4 isn't required, it just helps USPS sorts mail faster in some cases. It isn't a box at the post office, it just specifies a certain area within a zip code.
Your mail was probably RTS'ed because they moved, or wanted to protect their privacy.

Re: Zip code question/home addresses
Okay thanks, thats what I figured. I bet the high profile celebs say no mail to the house and have a private box. I wonder if some of the lower celebs have mail to the house
Re: Home Address/zip code help
It would depend on WHY they were RTS. There is usually a sticker on the envelope telling why it was returned--a handwritten RTS usually means they have moved, or refused the letter.
The -XXXX is a more specific zip code. If the address comes with the -xxxx I will add it, but I don't research the address to find the 4 numbers.

Re: Home Address/zip code help
Chances are they just don't want fanmail delivered to their homes,if in fact the addresses your getting are even their homes,i would send through agents/managers or via venue because stars don't want people knowing where they live for obvious reasons and are unlikely to reply if you mail to their homes, maybe some older stars or less known stars might be ok with it but not high profile stars.

That sounds like they have moved and the address is outdated.steviey2493 wrote:they are coming back with an "unable to forward" on it

Re: Zip code question/home addresses
If a celeb refuses mail at home the RTS label will read "no mail Receptacle". They may have moved, if they did the USPS will forward it for 30 days, then list the new address 30 days after that; then just RTS.
Home address sites are VERY unreliable. If you really want to find a home address you need to research property transactions, ariel sattelite images, other reports, and then see if you can match the spouse name. Even if you find a celebs home most cases they will accept the letter, but not reply. They do that so you (general not you as in yourself) don't post the address on TTM sites and they get bombarded with mail.
As frustrating as it gets when you really want a celeb and never hear back; it's usually better to find their agent or lawyer than their home address.
I'm not saying you shouldn't send to home addresses, just from my experience it dosen't always mean you get a success from a home addy.

Re: Zip code question/home addresses
well this sight is legit, i talked to the guy who runs it and he matches them with deeds and aerial pics...but what I am doing is sending some to house addresses...and after a month if it comes back RTS send it to the manager or agent...if it doesn't come back RTS within a month it probably got there and whether I hear back time will tell...or i will send a house AND manager, and if i get an RTS back send it to an agent or another address...does that sound like the way to go about things?
